–By Andy Lindberg– September 26 was the last InterMarque picnic of 2021. It was held at the new traditional location, Harriet Island in St. Paul, and followed the same format as all of the other picnics since time immemorial. You know, bring a dish to share and if it rains it’s cancelled. It didn’t even come close to raining and temps were in the low 70s. It doesn’t get better than that.
The Alfa club did a great job hosting the event and even had a friendly traffic director pointing us to parking at the the far end of the lot. There were a substantial number of Alfa cars there, including Spiders and a GTV. In addition there was a Citroen 2CV, three Triumphs and a Saab. Also an MGTC and a Fiat 1100.
The next picnic will be June 26, 2022.
Viva Italia, viva Alfa Romeo, viva InterMarque.
