INTERMARQUE KICK-OFF UPDATES: FEB 15

KICK-OFF 2020 EVENT IS NOW POSTPONED

SPRING KICK OFF UPDATE: Monthly meeting held 2-8-2020 @ 400 Tavern

CLUB SUPPORT: About 35 InterMarque clubs have been contacted and five or six have sent in their $100 participant fee so far. Keep in mind clubs can manage their locations as they see fit. It was decided that the cutoff date for allocated space will be Saturday Feb. 29 after that date the club’s name will not be applied to the poster for the first printing. On or about March 3rd any club that has purchased may purchase additional footage if they would like, the additional footage most likely will be available in 50 foot increments. Mark Hill & Todd Bjerknes will be following up with club’s working towards a goal of 100% participation.

FINANCES: The treasury is still intact, we have not spent any funds so far this year.

SPEAKERS: John Engstrom reports he is working with Jeff Schlemer and Tom Warth to give presentations in the Osseo community room. Jeff would be speaking about ignition systems and Bonneville Salt Flat competition. Tom, adventures in the life of selling car books.

CITY CONTACT: Per the city of Osseo we are not able to conduct a swap meet, in a designated area or in the club’s space. Next meeting with the Osseo city council is scheduled for some time in April.

POSTER/PROMO: A prototype of the 2020 SKO poster was distributed and approval was given.

John Engstrom & Brian Cornell will be working on a press release, we will then distribute to create more excitement and public awareness of the SKO.

Brian Cornell will order dash plaques thru Rock Auto.

We have decided to offer a limited number of Spring Kick Off T-Shirts. The shirts will be ordered in two colors one color will be pre-sold through the InterMarque Monthly to be picked up at the event in Osseo. The other color will be available free of charge to the volunteers working at the show. At our next meeting a volunteer signup sheet will be passed @ that time the volunteer will indicate what size shirt they want. Brian Cornell will design the shirt with a replica of this year’s poster on the back and the InterMarque logo on the front, the front will not include the date because the date is indicated on the poster side of the shirt.

Harry Reynolds & Todd Bjerknes are and will be working with vendors and SWAG suppliers, with the help of Mark Hill.

SHOW VOTING: Todd Bjerknes has contacted a Girl Scout organization regarding best of show voting. CROSS the food shelf organization of Rogers and Nancy Gelhar have been contacted regarding our charity endeavors. We are waiting for responses.

EVENT PREP: Jay Jacobson will be contacting Suzanne & Gregg Wilodson to confirm they will be setting pylons provided by the Austin-Healey Club for dividing club locations on the streets of Osseo. Greg & Suzanne also in the past have provided signs for each club as a dividing marker, installed in the pylon.
