By John Engstrom – Well, summer is about to hit us, hopefully it will work out better than it has so far. It seems to me that every day it’s either put on the air conditioning and then the next day, put on the heat.
Lots of stuff coming up for activities, be sure to check out the calendar in this issue and while I’m at it, I might as put in a plug for the SPRING INTO SUMMER event on June 23rd up at BMC in Isanti. It’s being put on in conjunction with the Jaguar Club and BMC. It will feature mostly British Cars but it is also open to British Motorcycles and any other Vintage Marques, foreign and domestic that want to bring a car over to show. We have a lot of room and have opened it up to everyone.
In addition, we have a rally leaving from BMC at around 2 and ending up at a restaurant in in Wisconsin. I believe it’s about a 70 mile run out there and it will have a rest stop in the middle for everyone. This is a beginners rally so you don’t need any experience. I know I have never needed any experience to have a fun time, or to injure myself, the phrase ” here, hold my beer” comes to mind here. But I digress. There is also going to be a luncheon served at BMC, yes, all this and food too. Hours for the show are from 10AM to 2PM. Come down, show your car, share your knowledge and have fun. You don’t need to pre-register, just have to show up. 444 East Dual Boulevard Northeast, Isanti, MN 55040
More info on another show here too, Coming up is the show down at Brits – They are calling it “Fredstock” it will take place down at Brits on July 22nd starting at 2pm for the car show. As it turns out, they only have room for 20 cars, so invites to show cars will have to be sent out. The day has a lot of events going on down at Brits, with the complete works of Shakespeare (abridged) being shown up on the rooftop. I have seen this and it’s hilarious, along with that they have an appearance by British Rocker, Graham Parker. Then later they will have the Belfast Cowboys (Van Morrison Tribute Band) a packed day of events and all at one place!
That’s just a couple of events that are going on. Spend some time out and about and don’t forget the InterMarque Sunday picnics the last Sunday of every month! Summer goes far to quickly around here.
